Together with the launch of our AEOLOS 150, we are proud to present the next member in our portfolio for advanced surface analysis. The µFOCUS 450 is a new generation multi wavelength monochromator, optimized for layer characterization, high performance XPS and near ambient pressure XPS. Likewise, being originally integrated into the EnviroMETROS tool, we now offer the µFOCUS 450 as a standalone component and as part of our open research systems.
The µFOCUS 450 is a fully enclosed multi-wavelength X-ray monochromator for surface analysis and depth profiling applications. It can be equipped with up to three anodes of Al (1487eV), Ag (2984eV) and Cr (5414eV), and spot sizes can be tuned from 100µm to more than 1000 µm at maximum excitation power. Its Rowland circle design guarantees highest possible energy resolution for all anodes. Switching between the anodes and tuning of the spot size is fully computer controlled, which makes the µFOCUS 450 the perfect source for highly automatized experimental stations. A special Near Ambient Pressure (NAP) extension for operation at elevated pressures is available and ideally fits the new AEOLOS 150 NAP analyzer.
