Surface Preparation
In order to obtain relevant results by cutting edge characterization methods it requires the preparation and deposition of well-defined and clean materials surfaces and interfaces. Classical techniques for surface preparation are: cleaving, sputter cleaning, annealing and reactive heating.
But preparation can also mean, that a sample is treated in a high pressure cell (pressures between 1 and 20 bar) or in an electrochemical cell. By this advanced states of samples can be prepared.
