NS Pulse Unit for EQ 22/35
This nanosecond unit for EQ 22/35 is used to switch the electron source in order to produce the shortest possible pulses.
This accessory for the EQ 22/35 scanning electron source produces electron pulses with a fixed width of less than 2 ns. It can be triggered by either an external (up to 3 MHz) trigger signal, or by a fixed-frequency internal signal (~ 50 kHz). It can be used to integrate the SPECS electron source into custom time-resolved experimental setups for which a short excitation length is critical. For custom length beam pulsing of the EQ 22/35, please refer to the beam chopper unit instead.
The EQ 22/35 source can be used for almost any application which requires an focused electron beam. Among the popular applications are Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES), scanning imaging applications (SAM/SEM), electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS), or electron pulse applications such as desorption (ESD) experiments. Due to the high transmission of its Einzel-lens, the EQ 22/35 is an electron source which gives high electron beam currents over a wide energy range
