Beam Chopper for EQ 22/35
The Beam Chopper for EQ 22/35 Allows Switching of the Electron Beam with Nanosecond Response Time.
This accessory for the EQ 22/35 scanning electron source uses an external trigger signal to cut off and switch on the electron beam emitted by the electron source. It is compatible with all EQ 22/35 configurations and can be used to integrate the SPECS electron source into custom time-resolved experimental setups. The length of the emission pulse can be selected between 1 and 100 µs. For experiments which require shorter beam pulses, please refer to the Nanosecond pulse unit instead.
The EQ 22/35 source can be used for almost any application which requires an focused electron beam. Among the popular applications are Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES), scanning imaging applications (SAM/SEM), electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS), or electron pulse applications such as desorption (ESD) experiments. Due to the high transmission of its Einzel-lens, the EQ 22/35 is an electron source which gives high electron beam currents over a wide energy range
