Pannonien International Symposium on Catalysis (PISC 2024)

The conference is held every two years and has a long-standing history of collaborations with a focus on participants from Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria and Romania.

The symposium focuses on all topics of heterogeneous catalysis and electrocatalysis. Catalysis plays a pivotal role in modern chemical processes, driving advancements in both industrial applications and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, catalysis is fundamental to the production of a wide array of essential chemicals and fuels, from ammonia for fertilizers to e-fuels for sustainable energy. Its significance extends beyond industrial efficiency; heterogeneous catalysis is crucial for environmental protection, facilitating processes that reduce harmful emissions and convert waste products into valuable resources. The development and optimization of heterogeneous and electro-catalysts are thus central to addressing global challenges related to energy, sustainability, and pollution, underscoring their indispensable role in advancing technology and enhancing quality of life.
