SPECS systems went on the road – to the new Sir William Henry Bragg building at the University of Leeds.
System moves are a complex task. We have made it our business to perfect this task and to implement it efficiently for our customers. Our goal is to minimize the downtime for the customer and to move the system quickly and fully functional. It does not matter whether the system is only to be moved between buildings or to another country.
As an example in 2021 a team of SPECS engineers took the task of moving an EnviroESCA and a HAXPES system between buildings inside of the University of Leeds. The challenging task was fully completed within 3 weeks. The systems are in one the laboratories directed by Professor Sven L. M. Schroeder, who holds the Royal Academy of Engineering Bragg Centenary Chair in Engineering Applications of Synchrotron Radiation (SR).
The move of the SPECS systems is part of the relocation of laboratories to the new 15,700 m2 Sir William Henry Bragg Building. The new building integrates several disciplines of Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, and Computing and it’s located on the northeast quarter of campus.
The SPECS systems are now part of this new first-class laboratory oriented towards cutting-edge research and collaboration with the industry. We sincerely appreciate the trust and joyful collaboration with our customer during this challenge.
