Catalysis

Catalysis is the key to modern industrial chemistry. Fischer-Tropsch-Synthesis and the Haber-Bosch process are only two of the best known catalyst-driven chemical processes, that helped mankind with fuel and fertilizer supply, respectively. Since about 20 years NAP-XPS and SPM contributes to determine the elementary steps in these types of reactions to optimize catalyzers with respect to chemical composition and particle sizes.
